What is ILL?

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a cooperative effort between many libraries around the world to provide articles, books, and other materials to researchers, students, and others. UM Law Inter-Library Loan services are only available to UM Law Students and UM Law Faculty.

Requesting Items Through ILL

Status of Request

  • You may check the status of your request by logging on to your ILLiad account.
  • You'll receive an e-mail when your request is received; you must pick up the book within 5 days. 
  • Any restrictions on using a book from another library are included in the e-mail.

Articles are usually sent as an attachment to your @memphis.edu e-mail account.
