Steps to setting up a new resource in ERM:
1. Create a resource record.
2. Create a license record.
3. Load coverage data.
Creating resource records. Log in to Sierra in ERM mode. Choose File | New Record | Resource Record. You will be prompted to select a template from the list. Highlight and select the lawbasic template: Blank Template:

Choose select and you will see this pop up box at the top of the resource record:

Type in the Database Name, add UM Law Only if access is restricted. | Next.
Database ID must exactly match the name in Serials Solutions. | Next.
Database Type will say something like Full-text Database or HTML and pdf | Next.

Description will describe the Database and who may use it. | Next.

Database URL (some databases will have proxy included) | Next.

Affiliation will always be UofMLaw for law school ERM records | Next.

Some records will require other headings be filled in from the drop down such as Alt Resource Name if there is one, or you can have a Public Note, Trial Information, etc. When finished filling out the template | Save.
