The New York Times digital newspaper is now available to all members of the Law School community through a Law Library subscription. This subscription replaces the University of Memphis subscription. Through this Law Library subscription, Law students, Law faculty, and Law staff can sign up for individual newsletters as well as access the online daily New York Times and the full New York Times archives. To start your access, choose the appropriate access option below:
New Subscribers (use this option if never subscribed before)
Go to accessnyt.com and search for University of Memphis Law School. Follow the directions for creating an account.
After creating an account you may access The New York Times from any location by visiting newyorktimes.com and entering your username and password.
Faculty and staff subscriptions will remain active for 4 years. Students' subscriptions will expire Dec. 31 of the graduation year entered upon creating their individual New York Times account.
EXISITING Registered Subscribers that DO NOT HAVE ACTIVE NYT Subscriptions
Go to accessnyt.com, type in University of Memphis Law School and follow the instructions for access. Since you "Already have an account " click “Log In" (Found below "Create an Account"). Input your email address and the same “Password” created for your previous account. If you encounter an error message email edu@nytimes.com.
EXISITING Registered Subscribers with Personal ACTIVE PAID NYT Subscriptions
You will need to cancel your personal subscription by connecting with a chat agent on the site, or calling 800-698-4637 before creating an account. Once the subscription is canceled, visit accessnyt.com immediately, type in University of Memphis Law School and follow the instructions access. Since you “Already have an account " click “Log In" (Found below "Create an Account"). Input your email address and the same “Password” created for your previous account. If you encounter an error message email edu@nytimes.com.
